A combination of PMS and caffeine led to the   Kathy and Diane
outburst, "Man, I am in bitch mode today!"
That was April 2003.

Bitch Mode Productions started with original designs that reflect the jokes within the gay community and continues to grow. Our motto is: "if the shirts 'fits'...wear it!"

The first generations of clothing were all hand- painted. We started selling our wares at pride festivals and the response from the community  was astounding.  When comedienne Suzanne Westenhoefer, who was hosting NJ Pride 2003 in Asbury, came by our tent and landed on the"What Would Joan Do?" she remarked, "Ya' know, you're gonna burn in hell for that one!"

We knew we were on to something!

When it became impossible to keep up with demand by hand-painting, we had to change our production method.  Adding trendier styles to our line made our shirts even more popular.

From pride festivals, we tried our hand at major trade shows such as the GLBT Expo and the Gay Life Expo, both at the Jacob Javits  Center in New York 2005.

It was at the GLE where we met Honey Labrador of Bravo's "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl" and currently the producer/host of the Q Television Network. She interviewed us at our booth and said we were the "buzz of the Expo!" (click here for interview footage)  Afterwards, she wanted our "Bitch Mode On" shirt to wear on her show!

We were then contacted by Martian Entertainment, producers of two NYC off-Broadway plays, "Dog Sees God" and "Naked Boys Singing."  We supplied the cast and crew of "Dog Sees God" with our "WWJD" t-shirts to complement one of the lines in the play. Our "Bitch Mode On" shirt will also be worn on stage by one of the actors in "Naked Boys Singing."

And on May 7th, 2006, Kim Stolz from "America's Next Top Model" interviewed us for Here!TV at the Equality Forum in Philadelphia, PA.

Along the way, Bitch Mode Productions has contributed to community organizations and we are proud to help support their efforts.

We are dedicated to providing the highest in quality so you will always look and feel great.
